Formerly the head of SHADOW’s Social Media Division, Janay Smith’s scope of work is rooted in storytelling complemented with analytical and creative thinking.
A graduate of Johns Hopkins University with disciplines in psychology and visual arts and the University of Southern California’s Business School, Janay has led content strategies for consumer brands across industry categories— including goop, Pleasing, Sun Bum, Pat McGrath Labs, and Herschel Supply Co.
She has bridged the gap between consumer and brand by directing a series of social-first campaigns for Google’s newest channel, Shop With Google, as well as for e.l.f. Cosmetics and American Express. She now leads her own entrepreneurial creative studio.
